On September 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited New Uzbekistan University and reviewed an exhibition dedicated to reforms and future plans in the education sector, the presidential press service reported.
The president was first briefed on efforts to ensure continuity of education in the country, the results achieved and plans for further development. Several pavilions showcased reforms being implemented at different stages of a child’s education — from early childhood to professional training.
Mirziyoyev also reviewed the university’s educational and research infrastructure. He was presented with the facilities available to students at the Future Engineers site, Bloomberg Laboratory, Physics Teaching Laboratory, Engineering Sciences Training Hall and Apple Training Center.
The activities of the IDROCK artificial intelligence cluster, as well as laboratories for biotechnology and bioinformatics, materials science, laser and nanotechnology, and the ADM engineering laboratory were also presented.
These facilities are designed to combine students' theoretical knowledge with practical training, research and project work.
Mirziyoyev spoke with the university’s faculty members and students, as well as foreign partners involved in international education programmes.

ADM Global told Spot that the president was also presented with a project for the country’s first national vehicle under the DOST brand. According to photographs released by the presidential press service, ADM Group CEO Daniyar Davletiyarov was present during the visit. New Uzbekistan University houses an ADM technical laboratory where students work with engineers from ADM Jizzakh on the development of the future vehicle.
The company is currently developing a concept for a hybrid vehicle and preparing a production site. ADM plans to present the first DOST passenger car prototype in early 2027.
At the initial stage, DOST will be introduced in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, particularly minibuses. According to the company, this will allow it to assess demand for the national brand, test product and marketing solutions, and prepare for the next stage — the development of a passenger car.
